Just letting you guys know that I'm working on an Akismet
MODification for phpBB. I'm hoping to make an alpha release of the
code this week, however I do have a Subversion repository set up with
the dev code. The support topic for the MOD can be found here:

If I may add a suggestion/request:
A key to filtering in phpBB might also be that of excluding and moderating
memberships, which have become detrimental. I don't truly know how this can
be achieved without unwanted consequences, but I look forward to seeing some
solution to phpBB SPAM.
