IMO, Kubrick should remain the default theme. When people see
Kubrick, they think WordPress and it's a good lookin' theme.

However, I think a basic, blank theme should also ship with
WordPress. A "customize me!" theme of sorts. One that's a lot easier
for people to customize without having to start from scratch.

+1 *smile*

Whatever theme is set as "default", some people will whine, so better
stick with what is most recognisable already. However, a nice template for
theme editing would be valuable. It would also be nice to include some
placeholder images and styles, which beg for the user to modify them.

Best wishes,

Roy
