Defining Paths Before MATLAB (6.5) Starts

I work on MATLAB remotely and I have no way of saving my pathdef. I can,
however, invoke it using a script and I wondered if there is a command-line
option (under Linux) that will allow me to specify paths rather than always
start a session by manually typing addpath(genpath("~/"))
