Clipboard Size/Limit

For over a year I have had a problem that sometimes makes me lose my nerves
and later might not come up. I am talking about the clipboard under SuSE
8.2 in this particular case. I sometimes need to copy and paste large
portions of text (typically 200-500 lines). I try doing this using CTRL+C
and CTRL+V although I also tried the highlight-then-press-center-button.
The problem: there appears to be a limit to the size of the clipboard so
the text gets truncated... SOMETIMES... most of the time, in fact.

I use Klipper with a large history stack. What baffles me is that I might
have to try 10 times before all the text is miraculously copied _entirely_
for no apparent reason.

I would appreciate your help,

Roy
