I read somewhere that Google employment is reminiscent of the older days in
Bell Labs with scientists like Shannon riding a tricycle across the
hallways. The employees also get a lot of freedom to implement whatever
takes their fancy. I'm lucky to be in an academic environment that
sometimes seems close to matching that Utopian job, but then again, it's
August...
