Can't remember the screen res (the lappy's sitting next door and I
can't be bothered getting it just now) but I think it's the same
across all the Ferraris.

I'm glad I went the extra mile and got the 4005, like you say ... they
absolutely *scream*. The speed is literally shocking - it wipes the
floor with my P4 3.6GHz; completing intensive video transcoding jobs
in half the time.

I'd like the 5000, but frankly I just can't justify it, since the 4005
is already more than I need.

The X700 Mobile GPU surprised me (it was the first ATI graphics I'd
ever experienced). It's not only fast, but totally solid. In one fell
swoop I've been converted from an "Intel & nVidia" guy to an "AMD &
ATI" guy, and I don't want to look back.
