Wow, you came away from that article with an entirely different impression
that the author wrote it with.

First, "on it's way to being ready for all of of us" isn't anywhere close
to a "tipping point", much less *AT* it as your title suggests.

Second, Much of his article is devoted to arguments about the ways Linux
has to change if it want's to succeed, which is a serious uphill battle
consider that RMS and FSF are trying very hard to make it impossible for
those changes to happen via the GPL3.

Third, He seems very surprised that Linux vendors at Linux conference were
running Linux.  Like.... what?
