Well, actually not all that much. I've been looking for voice recognition on
Linux, too. There's stuff around if you're a developer and want
server-based corporate-style apps. And also if you're prepared to put a lot
of time and effort into getting somewhat experimental, alpha-type software
to work. But as someone who uses Linux rather than plays with it, and not
being a programmer, there's bugger-all out there for me. Which is a shame:
I used to use ViaVoice quite a bit. The lack of speech recognition isn't
fatal for me - nothing would entice me back to Windows (-=shudder=-) - but
it's something I'd very much like to see. Given that IBM proclaims such
support for Linux, maybe it's time to start lobbying...
