Merrill Bets On Yahoo!-AOL Merger

| Merrill said that a Yahoo!-AOL combination appears the most likely
| to happen, noting however that Microsoft also looms in the wings
| as a possible suitor for either company.

| contracts as they fall further behind Google. "As Google's growth
| continues to surprise, "the need to 'do something' in order to
| reverse this trend appears to be growing,'' Merrill observed.

| considerable in any combination involving Yahoo!, AOL or
| Microsoft, particularly in overhead and marketing, research &
| development and, in the case of a Microsoft-Yahoo! merger, ad
| platforms and technology investments.
