'File' -> 'Save...' appears to (still) work in my rusty version of KNode.
Also, one can drag merely any message to the Local Folders, which are then
saved cohesively in .mbox format under .kde/share/apps/knode. This caters
for automatic generation of archives, among other fun things you can do with
a standardised format.
