It would be interesting to see how many of the 99 tips have any analog
for Linux systems.  Obviously the ones referring to defragging and the
registry are not applicable.
There are methods (code) for running Linux rather quickly from BIOS (let
alone hibernation), as well as minor tweaks that resemble about:config and
JavaScript-encoded settings in Mozilla software. Many of the bulletpoint in
that page (judging by a quick glance) refer to the Registry. It needs to be
'unbloated'. It's quite embarrassing to see how obscure and complex Windows
has become.

Surprising actually, that SuSE has left about 32MB system memory free and not even touched the swap in this box. This on a system with 1GB RAM, XGL/Compiz. And the SPEED! Has to be seen to be believed...
