When a plague hits a flock, first you try to cure them. If it spreads too
quickly, you isolate those infected or even shoot them down.

The figures with regards to the proportion of infected machine is far, far
from encouraging. More worrying, no elixir is available. Not only will
Vista fail to provide full protection, but it will also require pricey
security addons, which nibble at the available resource.

To add to this injury, Vista's feature set is so poor and hardware
requirements so high, so few people will choose to upgrade. This means
that Microsoft is still forced to support a 6-7 year-old O/S (they are due
to give up on the rest this July; IE7 requires XP at the least).

Best wishes,

Roy
