There was a time when Unix ruled the roost, but Microsoft came along and ate
their breakfast by offering a product that was a LOT cheaper and good
enough. Linux is effectively doing the same thing that Microsoft did.
While, in the short term, a lot of marketing and "Get the Facts" campaigns
are slowing down the take up of Linux. In the long term, Microsoft are
going to have to get a LOT better and a LOT cheaper or they will go the way
of Unix, only worse.
