Re: Apple and Microsoft Advance Desktop Linux

After takin' a swig o' grog, nessuno@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx belched out this bit o' wisdom:

There are still some Microsoft fanbois out there, though. Our company
has one. One of the managers makes cracks about getting him and myself
together. I guess he thinks he'll see a spider/wasp kind of fight.

However, another fellow was listening to this fanboi rave about the new
OS and the new tools Microsoft is coming out with, and raving about his
home system. He asked my friend what he was running, and my friend (a
Linux buff for only a year or two, but well into it now, doing database
programming on it for his brother [yet another Linux convert]) pretty
much told him he now thought Windows was crap.

I'd never do that. I'd simply note that Windows is not bad for a
non-deterministic operating system which its creator radically churns
every few years.

Actually, Microsoft is sort of a mixture between the Borg and the Ferengi.
