The closed source software business /does/ think that open source is
piracy.  After all, we are talking about a product that is by and large
either inexpensive or free, and is taking money away from them.  They
probably find it hard to believe that the GNU GPL is legal, and are
pressing their legislators to ban it.  Actually, that's what the SCO
court case is about, isn't it?

Open source scares the hell out of them.  And Microsoft has taught that
in these situations the SOP is FUD.
