Its because they didn't include the hardware like Sony. Sony isn't perfect
either.

Guess what the PS3 doesn't play all the games either, and they included the
hardware from the PS1 and PS2 in the PS3, unlike Xbox 360 that does it in
emulation. Even the latest version of PS2 doesn't play all the PS2 games.
