Operating Systems or a Popularity Contest

| all, when you spend so much time with something, you want it to be an
| enjoyable experience instead of something that you?re just waiting to be
| over with.

One could argue that it's all about the applications, provided the O/S does
not hinder the user (e.g. maintenance, cost, stability).
