A funny fact to add is that any 'Windows PC' can be converted to GNU/Linux in

Any windows PC? Not the one sitting beside me. Linux won't run on it.
And the machine I'm using now, linux has a very large number of driver
issues with it's standard hardware.
For example, running USB 2.0 ports as USb 1.0 ports, not supporting
100Mbps on a 10/100Mbps lan card, not supporting the Audio mixer
properly, not mapping the keyboard keys properly, etc.
Linux is in a Windows 95 state of development. Past beta, but not quite
ready for release.
Maybe in another 2 years it will be at the 95 release stage.
