Nah, if you've used Ubuntu you've seen UAC done right. No need to pop
up and ask for a password in day-to-day operation; you only get prompted
if you're actually doing something system-related like installing an
application. And then you only get *one* popup. See my .sig, and
analogize a little. Contrast that with what even the Windows *partisans*
are saying about UAC.
