(Pardon a bite, but) not quite.
SLED is cheaper than Vista. SLED will run on Windows 2000/XP hardware
(unchanged) whereas Vista is unlikely to. Addionally, SLED is more secure
and it comes with more applications, which saves even more money and makes
deployment quicker.
