So, they already have a chokehold on the OEMs when it comes to operation
system. Now, just as they did with Netscape/IE, they wish to extend the
OEM's obligation to shut our rivals whose products lie at a different level.
Why not go further? Microsoft could start producing hardware, hand it over
to the OEM (salesman) and eliminate the OEMs altogether. It would be like
the old IBMs, or today's Macs. One size (and company) fits all. No choice,
no escape (lockins/de facto standards with patents and hidden proprietary
'extensions').
