I was just reading the Novell annual report this weekend.   Very
interesting especially about business strategy, risks.

They openly state that they are eschewing any retail sales (Netware
was sold retail) in favor of pure OEM strategy.

There are risks, and a declining Netshare market.

But there is a high upside depending on the number of relationships
they can create.

Separate from Linux, but equally important to them, is their identity
management business that allows business to track all sorts of
property.
