Do we need two ISO standards for document format? - Part 4

,----[ Quote ]
| Mr. Alan Bryden said that ISO will not approve two standards in the same
| area and ISO has its own "consensus" process to ensure that. Into

The reality of virtual machines

,----[ Quote ]
| So now you can find out what the excitement is all about by installing
| it within a VM and if you find that your friends' claims are not true,
| you can nuke Linux without leaving a trace on your PC.
|
| And if you happen to like it, then there are plenty of Linux distributions
| for you to check out and you can even run them concurrently in separate

VIRTUAL PC 2007 - Basic yet useful

,----[ Quote ]
| In other words, it's great for running operating systems from Microsoft but
| if you wish to run Linux or other OSes, Virtual PC should not be the first
| choice.
|
| With a little fiddling, you probably can get Virtual PC to run some Linux
| distros but others just won't work properly.
|
| A case in point is Ubuntu 7.04, which will greet you with a garbled screen
| when you try to install it in a Virtual PC Virtual Machine.

|
| Think about it. Free software. That phrase should be sending hordes

Outlook: Putting Malaysia on open source map

,----[ Quote ]
| Q: What is the best way to implement open source in an
| enterprise environment?
|
| A: You don't have to go 100 per cent open source. In an
| environment, 80 per cent of the IT expenditure would go to the
| business software such as ERP, SCM, business intelligence,
| reporting tools, etc. This is where open source should be
| targeted at, where you can save the most.
