I'm not *involved* with anyone here. I call them as I see them and I thought
his line was funny. I fail to see a connection between his joke
and threats of mutilation?
As for Roy, I don't agree with everything he says or does, but I respect him
and in my experience I don't think I have ever encountered a more dedicated
Linux advocate. Some may agree with his methods, some may not but in the
end he *does* get the Linux message out for people to see and decide for
themselves.
Hadron, and DFS, I have been criticized for agreeing with both of you
as well as Tim Smith. I've been told to kf the lot of you, but I haven't
because I prefer good discussion and to respond to the topic
rather than sling hash at each other. I've slipped myself at times
and usually I regret it, but I'm human as well and I make mistakes.
All of you make some valid points at times but you cloud your points
and sully your reputation by engaging in name calling and in effect
you give credence to the other sides POV even if they are wrong.
Advocacy groups attract all kinds and that's a good thing.
I am MOR and interested in advocating Linux when appropriate
and showing others that there is an entire world beyond Windows.
For me it's not a political/conspiracy thing but just another
product that I believe in and would like to see others enjoy
as I do.
At the same time though I am not naive enough to ignore the fact
that Microsoft is at war with Linux and that's ok as long
as they remain honest which if history proves correct they
won't.
This is where Roy and Mark come into play.
While a little colorful and creative they do expose the seedy side
of what Microsoft and other anti-Linux entities are up to.
And like I said, some of it agree with and some of it I don't.
It's all food for thought though. Just like this message.
