Is it time to exit from Windows?

| The offer of pre-installed Linux by mainstream PC makers doesn't mean the

| its cost advantages may never be compelling, finance departments must prepare

| According to Dell, up to 30,000 buyers have already asked for pre-installed
| Linux.

When Dell started this whole Linux thing it estimated that only 20,000 people
would buy the PCs (in a year, IIRC). A couple of months later, even before
expansion overseas, they already hit 30,000, so it _BY FAR_ exceeded their
expectations. No wonder they take this offer abroad, add SUSE, and offer the
PCs to businesses.
