It's important to make sure that the disaster of the British Library is
not repeated elsewhere.   There's something ironic about the Alexandria
library getting it right (the ex-biggest) and the British library
getting it wrong (currently the biggest - well, most books anyway.  I
think the US Congress one boasts longer shelves..!).
