Who didn't see /that/ coming? And where is our little friend Prof. Bill
Weisberger (amicus_curious, who is a proud Microsoft shill)? Has he decided
that trolling a Linux newsgroups might be damaging once his identity gets
exposed? What would his students think if they found out? LOL!!!

There is still a power struggle between Microsoft disinformation (e.g.
paid-for 'studies), stock buybacks (see below), promises ("most secure OS
ever"), FUD ("Macs are hijacked every day") and the bitter reality (profits
are sliding, see below).

We hear a lot about tipping points, the usually context being Linux. On the
negative side, Microsoft tipping point was probably last quarter, at least
from a purely financial perspective. From a technical perspective, the
tipping point was probably the Longhorn "reboot",
