Gawd, it pisses me off when clueless people post about things they are
clearly ignorant of. There was no 'going from SunOS to Solaris'.
SunOS was, and still is, Sun's OS. Solaris is their operating
environment. Towards the end of SunOS 4.x they had Solaris 1.x. For
SunOS 5.x there is Solaris 2.8, 8, 9, 10. Now the transition from
SunOS 4.x to 5.x was a real pain in the ass initially as 5.x for x < 5
was unstable garbage.

There is no subtle difference between SunOS and HP-UX. HP-UX is a pile
of dog shit compared to SunOS. Always has been.
