This one tactless submission of his will have him virtually shunned from the
standards community. Those whom I speak to by E-mail have lost trust in his
word (present /and/ past).

This guy shot himself in the foot.

The question remains: how many incidents like this are occurring every day
/WITHOUT/ a shot in one's own foot? How many articles in Wikipedia has
Microsoft edited in its favour already? What is the scale of this phenomenon
/outside/ Wikipedia? We already know that Wikipedia is just one among
several astroturfing venues.

Yesterday a mate of mine said he would ditch Digg and advised me never to
contribute content to them ever again. He too has been spotting the rising
number of shills. It's independent from my own opinions.
