Actually, if you check the comments on gaming sites, and on places like
Digg, they are mostly positive.  Gamers still remember the PS2 hardware
problems, which were more extensive than the 360 problems, and how much
effort it took to get Sony to deal with them.  It wasn't until mid 2003,
three years after launch, that Sony fixed the design.  It took a class
action lawsuit to get them to deal with all the broken consoles, which
resulted in Sony providing free repair or replacement until early 2005.

Sony set the bar very low with the PS2, and as long as the competitors
can stay above that, they end up looking good.


Which then begs the question: will it take a class action lawsuit to get the publics Xbox360s fixed?
