Hungary competition watchdog raids Microsoft office, suspects market power

| “The GVH perceived that (Microsoft) likely applied a system of conditions and
| benefits - loyalty discounts - for the most significant software distributors
| that provided no incentive to these distributors to sell other products
| competing with Microsoft Office software," the authority added.

| During the raid GVH was collecting evidence to underpin this assumption.

| If proven, such a conduct could conflict European Union competition law, the
| GVH noted, adding that this kind of business conduct was capable of squeezing
| out competing ventures from the software market or obstruct their entry
| permanently.
