That's the type of thing we'll be seeing more of. It's the power of thin
clients connected to powerful servers that utilise their resources better
(e.g. with virtualisation). Microsoft understood this too. This motivated its
miserable attempts to enter HPC. Think of online video editing, which YouTube
has just made possible. Less RAM needed; less waiting; no lag on the desktop.
