Corporate power is the new government. It is above the law, it writes the law
and it has the resources to behave like a nanny. SCO, BSA, ISC... lobbying,
pressure groups and proxies in Europe are examples of this. Would you
believe that the European Commission is being threatened by so-called bodies
(more like 'government departments') set up by Microsoft and its ilk? Let me
know if you want some links. And in fact, people in Mass. have lost their
fedral jobs because of Microsoft's actions, having resisted lockins.
