Another common excuse bites the dust.

Obviously the poster has not had to file anything with any complexity. The value of TurboTax is in the interview style entry of tax information, not in the filling out and printing of the forms themselves. All that this project brings to the party is some simple-minded arithmetic to calculate one line from others. As the author notes, it is not very user friendly and one might as well go to the tax prep agency where they fill out the forms for you after determining what your situation might be. "Too little, too late!" seems to be the motto of these open source projects.


Also, where a refund is due, the TuboTax on-line filing function, a glaring lack in TaxGeek, is worth the price of the TurboTax program all by itself.

People will pass this one by.
