He probably doesn't have a choice with a lease machine. The lease is the
machine and it's pre-installed OS. I used to lease and one of the rules was
that if it ever went in to be repaired it had to have the orriginal OS on
it.

Exactly !! , I expect the machine boot from some install partition where I can
select Swedish or English install, and then infect the partition that later will be C: , but I'm nut sure.

I will boot partimage and save it on a tape, so if I ever need to send the
machine back, I can make it as new.

This is a deal that from the beginning was a way for companies to finance a home PC for their personal tax free, but now there is some tax added anyway.

It was figured out by the former Swedish IT commission where they had "independent" peoples like Rolf Skoglund that you can find in the CC: header in Emails from Bill Gates in some of the posts in this group.

So other then widoze boxes was no option.

Well, the deal is so good, so I take it even if I don't use the default OS,
it's just amazing that they still get away with it, while other companies get sued all the time for very small things.

For example: A Swedish company sold a machine that made paper boxes, but had to
pay fine since they recommended a paper from a specified vendor for the best result.
