[News] [Linux] Vista Troubles Lead Users to GNU/Linux

Insistent idiots

,----[ Quote ]
| The strangest feedback I got for my Vista sucks entry the other day
| was from an email from the VP of Operations at one of Diskeeper's
| competitors offering me a special discount on their defragmenter.
| Apparently, he thought that "thirty minutes later the disk has been wiped
| and Ubuntu is up and running" is l33tsp34k for "I am in the market for
| Vista software".

Linux should really get some disk defragmentation tools as well. ;-)

Vista Breaks Itself

,----[ Quote ]
| Time after time this keeps happening, I really need to turn that
| crappy update feature off. As it happens more and more, I have
| found the fastest way to alleviate the problem to be reboot, use
| the "Last known good configuration option," which rolls back the
| graphics driver, and then reboot and select low-res video, and
| just crank the resolution back up when I get into Windows. Long
| story short, I hate Vista, and love Kubuntu. Try Linux, please.

Among the 19 patches delivered yesterday (addressing many "Critical" flaws),
there were at least 6 that affected Vista.

Yesterday, a survey found that public perceptions about Vista are only
getting worse by the day.
