It was probably last decent O/S for its time. Mac OS and Linux were not all
that attractive at the time. Parity? Maybe. I'm not too sure because I was
quite young. Since 1998, Apple and Linux have leaped ahead and Microsoft
just offered a gown (and different hardware requirement, partly due to nice
modern 'features' like DRM).
