Rob must be referring to the latest 3 steps taken by Microsoft (attack IBM,
boast support, create OOXML 'community'). I wrote about this yesterday (
http://boycottnovell.com/2007/05/11/ooxml-grassroot/ ) and it seems obvious
that Microsoft has taken ugly steps that involve a great deal of deception
in order to save its cash cows (or at least try). This 'support' from
businesses is probably as reliable as seeing channel-stuffing as indication
of high Vista sales. Don't forget that Microsoft has a 'partner' program
which is often abuses in order to promote its agenda. It's another form of
lobbying arms.
