Why Novell Must Not Crash and Burn

I think Open Source and Linux will be boosted, no matter what
happens to Novell. Reason being that the purchasing power of the
EU is now greater than that of US. Europe wants its own software
industry to flourish. A break from Microsoft proprietary systems
would help to boost that movement.
Microsoft is assisting that move to occur by keeping their Vista
operating systems cost higher for Europeans than for US.
What is not realised is a side benefit also to US, as greater
competition and increased job market would be fostered by the
success of alternate operating systems and application software.
All (except the monopoly) benefit by lower costs.
