It is faster than 32bit linux. Between 5% and more than 40% faster than the
same app in 32bit (on a 32bit linux OS)
It does not suffer from performance degredation as windows does, where 32bit
apps run *slower* on the 64bit windows, whereas the 32bit apps run on 64bit
linux from 2% slower up to 8% faster than on 32bit OS, due to a faster OS
itself
It also does not have the problem windows has, namely *very* few drivers for
64bit, and even less apps in 64bit, which makes it even more pointless to
run 64bit windows, as practically *all* 32bit apps suffer in performance.
Linux has most apps in 64bit, nativly. Very few are only available in 32bit
