It was taken and turned into a derivative work for commercial gain.

That's the sort of stuff that even offends the sorts of pirates
that hang out at Pirate Bay. It's never been considered cool by
anyone to take someone else's work and charge for it.

Crackers tend to get really cranky about that sort of thing.
