So, how long until Roy has boycottoasis up? :-)

How do you get to spin this into yet another ant-Roy ad hominem. You're nothing more than a MICROS~1 stalker, spent years trolling a Linux group. If it's going nowhere then why all the effort being expended in trashing it and its advocates, by the likes of you.

All you are about here is disrupting COLA. You do this by introducing a positive Open Source story and then without provocation, procede to gratuitously insult someone. In the process you distract from any real or serious discussion of the points raised therein. In short - all you are doing here is shiting all over COLA ..

Now contrast what Durusau has to say with what Vinod Valloppillil, Microsoft program manager said ..

"OSS poses a direct, short-term revenue and platform threat to Microsoft, particularly in server space"

"OSS projects have been able to gain a foothold in many server applications because of the wide utility of highly commoditized, simple protocols.

By extending these protocols and developing new protocols, we can deny OSS projects entry into the market"
