Has it not been added yet? An article that was published recently gave me the
impression that all this fancy-shmancy 3-D stuff (like Google Earth on
Android) was already available for the developers. But you're probably right.
Maybe it's still in development, so it's 'out there'... but not quite out
there for real. I was actually quite surprised to find that Compiz worked out
of the box on my PC at home, which is very low-end and has no GPU... it seems
like 3-D and hardware-accelerated UIs are becoming standard in the Linux
desktop... and even phones. GTK now has them... Plasma makes use of that too
in KDE 4... and there's Compiz Fusion, of course.
