KDE Components: Folder View

,----[ Quote ]
| Overall; I like the FolderView widget and the idea of Icon-less desktop
| through sets of plasmoids. Kudos to the KDE development team for the
| component - a must have widget in the default collection.

You can have multiple 'desktops' now, some of which available over FTP/SSH.
it's a powerful feature.

Because the simple things in life are often the best.

| Linux is not a monolithic monstrosity where everything is combined and
| intertwined into a hazy blob of bits and bytes. It actually consists of many
| (ok, hundreds) of small discrete components, each of which is designed to do
| a single job, and do that job well. The combination of those jobs are what
| makes up the complete Linux operating system.

KDE 4 rev 790000: Better stability and performance

,----[ Quote ]
| This is another revision of the development version of KDE 4 environment.
| Lots of you have asked why it took me so long to publish this article. Well,
| I was just waiting for rev 790000, that’s all. I hope that your curiosity
| will be satisfied since there’s been a lot of changes to describe this time.
| I did my best.

KDE on KDE 4.0

,----[ Quote ]
| In the following article we would like to
| address some common misconceptions about KDE 4 as we see it. As we firmly
| believe in KDE 4 and the future of the Free Desktop, we expected the heated
| discussions about KDE4 and especially the 4.0 release to go away - and we
| were wrong about that.
