The software is downloaded over 1.2 million times per week and is also
_preinstalled_ on many machines (almost every Linux sub-notebooks for
starters).

Some downloads make multiple deployments (e.g. an entire cluster with one
download), but many installations reside alongside Microsoft Office -- _for
now_. People will continue to explore this new habitat. When times come to
renew the licence, maybe they'll take the same route as Robert Scoble (a
former Microsoft evangelist that recently ditched Microsoft Office).
