People in suits (CIO) only listen to other people in suits (Microsoft Reps),
driven by other people in suits (shareholders) who haven't interest in much
but profit and 'protection' of ideas (i.e. blobification of mission-critical
programs).
The perception must end. It's akin to the mental barrier that had people
believe women cannot be knowledge workers (it's still believed in some
discriminatory and sexist nations).
More open is more robust. Key under carpet ain't real security. Stallman could
endlessly tell the story about using just ENTER as the password in MIT labs
(20% of the people used this hack) when code ceased to be shared , thereby
facilitating pseudo-security.
