Indeed.  And, if Roy insisted on getting paid for his software products,
he is perfectly in the right to do so.  He can even charge more for
giving out the source, too.

We might not want truck with his proprietary software for reasons of our
own, and may even disagree with his strategy, but it is his right.

You seem to think that, just because we prefer open-source, we also
prefer people not get paid for their labors.
