I’m Back with Kubuntu Linux (and Happy as Ever)

,----[ Quote ]
| So, after two months, I’m back with Kubuntu. This time, I’ve installed KDE
| 4.2. Many of the kinks of the original Plasma version have been worked out.
| I’ve been reunited with all my favorite KDE apps in their native desktop
| environment. Even the sound card is working again. I’m happy to be back.
| The only real holdover from my Gnome days is Evolution. I’ve left Kmail, and
| for now have taken a real liking to Evolution as the best email app for my
| needs.

A First Look at Kubuntu-Jaunty (v9.04)

,----[ Quote ]
| Are you looking for a Linux distribution with an ultramodern look with plenty
| of eye candy? One that will run on older desktop computers or current
| netbooks? Does the well-known stability and security of Linux interest you?
| Does a high level of user customization( without having to edit configuration
| files manually) sound like something you'd like? Are you an experienced KDE
| user who has heard the (accurate) horror stories about early versions of
| KDE4? A. Lizard thinks that Kubuntu-Jaunty just might be the distribution you
| are looking for.

Kubuntu 9.04

,----[ Quote ]
| No writer is completely without bias. I do the best I can to be even-handed
| and objective when reviewing a distribution. I have to admit though that I’ve
| been far too biased toward covering Gnome-based distributions and haven’t
| nearly covered as many KDE-based counterparts. I’ll be trying in the future
| to have a more balanced selection of reviews that cover both desktops plus
| some other environments.

[Kubuntu] First Karmic Alpha Available

,----[ Quote ]
| The first alpha CD for our next release is now available. This is at a very
| early stage of development so is advised for brave testers only. See the
| overview from Ubuntu, the announcement or just go straight to the CD
| download.
