esearchers at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston have found a technique for detecting pancreatic inflammation in type 1 diabetes. The technique enables non-invasive identification of diabetes even before clinical symptoms appear. This study, which relies on magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), is still in its "proof of concept" phase.
