IEEE Journals as RSS Feeds
Date: Friday, December 02 @ 04:16:53 GMT Topic: Journals
OURNALS which from the IEEE are finally distributed as TOC's in the form of RSS feeds (what are RSS feeds?). This means that rather than 'cycling' for new papers, the reader can eye-scan the very latest paper titles in all journals of interest. To list a few feeds that pertain to computer vision and image analysis:
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC10.XML
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC83.XML
IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC4233.XML
IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC42.XML
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC34.XML
IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/rss/TOC2945.XML
Perhaps usefully, in all the above feeds, authors get omitted, so only titles catch the eye. Feed descriptions contain the full abstract with link to the corresponding paper, which is excellent in term of one's productivity.
Access to feeds might require a subscription through your academic/industrial institute. Perhaps, just perhaps, access is dependent upon IP addresses. It does not seem so however, having investigated this at a shallow level.
IJCV have an open RSS feed as well:
IJCV Latest Issue

This feed is definitely available to the public, but access to full-length paper is forbidden or requires a high fee to be paid.
